Our journey with art
Welcome to Building 2 Studio, where creativity flows and colors come to life. Discover the passion behind our unique stained glass and pottery painting artworks, and learn what makes each piece a truly special creation.

The beginning of a colorful journey
My journey into stained glass began in 1975 with a class in Royal Oak, Michigan. Since then, I've been sketching designs, driven by a passion for transforming light and color. Many of my panels are 12x12 inch squares that echo popular geometric quilt designs, which I proudly call "Quilt Glass." Each piece is hand-cut, meticulously assembled, and framed in stained pine or, more recently, zinc. Custom framing options are always available to suit your preferences.

Brilliant and cheerful creations
What I love most about creating these unique art pieces is how their colorful designs remind me of looking through a kaleidoscope. They are both brilliant and cheerful, designed to bring a sense of joy and wonder into any space. I hope that when people see my work, they feel that same uplifted spirit and appreciation for the beauty of light and color.

Every piece, a unique handmade treasure
What makes the way I create my stained glass and pottery special or different? Every single piece is totally handmade. From the initial sketch to the final framing or firing, each artwork is crafted with personal attention and dedication. This hands-on approach ensures that no two pieces are exactly alike, making each creation a truly unique treasure for your home or as a gift.
"My art matters because it is a personal truth made visible, a bridge between you and others, and a contribution to the human experience."
